IAIM baby massage courses

What does IAIM mean?

Are you brand new parents who would like to take part in an IAIM baby massage course (International Association of Infant Massage)? In only a few lessons you will learn how to increase the bond with your baby with loving strokes and actively and competently help in it’s development.

With professional instruction during the course you:

• Learn full body massage, step-by-step
• Practice the special massage techniques to reduce wind and colic
• Learn about the baby’s development and the further use of massage in a developing child
• Stimulate the physical, mental and emotional development of your baby

Baby massage has been used successfully in the whole world for hundreds of years. We realise that babies profit from massage in so many different ways:

• Growth and development are stimulated
• Sensory integration, bodily development and learning aptitude are optimised
• Bonding is strengthened
• Relaxation allows better bodily functioning
• Improvement in the sleep/wake rhythm and the ability to self regulation
• Relief from suffering, e.g. wind and flatulence, colic, teething  as well as muscular, mental and physical tension
• Newborns can discover that touching can be something enjoyable, on condition that rhythm and tolerance levels are respected
  

The courses take place over several weekly lessons. Group baby massage courses are suitable for babies from four weeks to the crawling stage.

IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) certification is a practical and theoretical training course and is carried out according to the highest qualification standards. In Switzerland, the course instructors are trained by the Swiss Association of Baby Massage.
